The Public Service Commission requires annual reports to be filed by all utilities operating in the State. This series consists of "form M" filed by telephone companies, "form 1" filed by power companies, "form 2" filed by gas companies, Audited Financial Statements filed by long distance resellers, and reports filed by water companies and radio common carriers. Record copies of transportation and gas systems annual reports are filed in the Transportation and Gas Pipeline Safety Division. Each report lists the company's business activities for the year, company holdings and investments, money collected, and other pertinent financial data.
